DESCRIPTION:Design and Create Your Own Unique Christmas Ornaments! \nTake this fun 3 hour taster workshop to learn about kiln-formed glass and make your own Christmas ornament! \nIf you are looking for unusual things to do in Dublin and are feeling creative then this could be the experience for you! No experience is necessary. \nThis 3 hour taster workshop will introduce you to the joys of kiln-formed glass while creating your own unique holiday ornaments. Students will learn about glass compatibility and ways to use colored glass\, frit and stringers to create beautiful ornaments. They will be exposed to multiple glass techniques including how to cut\, arrange and stack glass\, safe operation of a kiln\, and proper kiln techniques. \nMarja will share her passion for glass and will reveal the secrets of kiln forming\, an ancient and fascinating art. You will be introduced to the joys of kiln-formed glass by having fun while creating their own unique holiday ornaments. Through discussions\, demonstrations and practice you will learn kiln glass techniques and the cool effect temperature has on your projects. \nYou will learn how glass can be melted to make combinations of colours and patterns. Once you have learned a little about this process you will then turn your attention to thinking about what you might like to create for yourself!
