Open Call: Glass Ireland 2023
The theme of the 2023 edition of Glass Ireland, which covers the period July 2022 to June 2023, is Materiality.
Proposals may include makers who defy the expectations of their material or challenge us to look at glass in new and unexpected ways; opportunities that arise from a closeness to material; material as memory or perhaps materialism.
We would like to welcome Frances McDonald @francesmmcdonald as the new editor of Glass Ireland.
Glass Ireland supports the aims of the GSOI: promoting excellence in Irish glass, increasing visibility, advocating for the community, facilitating communication, increasing public appreciation of our craft and developing the international profile of Irish glass.
Like earlier issues, it will contain a mix of invited content and open call content, bringing together articles on contemporary practice, profiles of emerging makers, exhibition reviews, historical research and current issues relating to glass.

Proposals: Due by 26 May
Finished Essays: Due by 30 June
Proposals: 300 word proposal 800-1000 word finished submission. Finished articles must include high resolution print quality photographs.
