Make Your Own Glass Jewellery – 2 Day Class

Glass jewellery workshop in Dublin Ireland!

This course is a great way to get your creativity flowing, and it is suitable for all ages. You are guaranteed to produce a truly unique jewel which will be all yours!. It is possible to do this course individually or in groups of up to 6 people.

If you are looking for unusual things to do in Dublin and are feeling creative then this could be the experience for you! No experience is necessary. If you are a creative person and have a passion for jewellery then this course is definitely for you. Make your own piece! From the workshops of Glint, packed with interesting glass, you will find inspiration. Together with our expert chemist and artist Marja, you will learn how to create glass jewellery and make a pendant or earrings, using kiln formed glass.

Classes run from 1pm – 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday Oct 15 & 16th

Marja will share her passion for glass and will reveal the secrets of kiln forming, an ancient and fascinating art. You will be introduced to special glass types, including textured and dichroic glass, to create unique kiln-formed jewels. Through discussions, demonstrations and practice you will learn kiln glass techniques and the cool effect temperature has on your projects. Learn how to finish your jewels into pendants, earrings and pins by drilling, adhering findings and wire wrapping. Thoughtful design as well as simple cold-working methods and multiple firings will be encouraged.
