GSOI Think Tank

Jan192022
EventsJoin us for the GSOI Think Tank on Jan 24th

2022 is the International Year of Glass, and there are going to be many glassy events centered around glass practices throughout the year.

The GSOI board has decided to adopt the theme of Climate Change as our national theme for IYOG2022.

Come and join us for a brainstorming session – the GSOI Think Tank – as we begin to tackle and explore the theme of Climate Change in relation to glass.

A few of the questions we’ll be discussing during our ‘Think Tank’ event are:

  • Can we evolve our practice and everyday activity to be more climate conscious?
  • How has your practice evolved in recent years with climate events?
  • Do you have suggestions for making glass making more sustainable?
  • What do you hope to change in your studio to alter your carbon footprint?

During this ‘Think Tank’ event we hope to open the conversation around glass making, the climate and our individual and collective glass practices. We will use ideas and conversations generated in the ‘Think Tank’ to develop future events throughout 2022.

So join together with your fellow glass makers and let’s make the changes together.
We would love to see you there, don’t worry if it is just to listen and learn more, we won’t be putting anyone on the spot.

The zoom link was shared in the last newsletter, so don’t forget to check your email spam folder if you missed it! Can’t find it? Send us a message and we’ll re-share it with you.
