The Abate Zanetti Glass School in Murano is promoting the new Premio
Murano 2012 prize. Artists and designers are invited to submit their
glass projects without any limitation, except for the final dimensions
of the object.
Thirty sketches will be selected by a jury panel. Specialized Murano
glass masters (blowing, lampworking, fusing and coldworking) will
freely choose among the projects for the ones that will appeal to their
skills and artistic ability, effectively selecting for a second time.
Projects and glass works will be showcased at the Scuola Grande della
Misericordia in Venice at the same time the Biennale Architettura 2012
is taking place.
