THREADS: Time, Memory and Material
The Glass Society of Ireland and Cashel Arts Festival invite expressions of interest for THREADS, a curated exhibition of contemporary glass taking place in the Cathedral Chapter House, Cashel, as part of Cashel Arts Festival 2026.
The Cathedral Chapter House, former home of the Bolton Library (until 2016), provides a setting shaped by knowledge, preservation, and time. Within this context, THREADS traces the lines that run through time, material, and memory. Each work carries light and the marks of its making. The exhibition invites artists to explore lineage, transformation, and preservation, and the connections between maker and material, object and story, past and present, and honouring the legacy of the Bolton Library.
