The 2024 issue of Glass Ireland was launched at our GSoI Day at The National Museum Of Ireland Collins Barracks on Friday 2nd April.
We would like to thank Frances McDonald, the Editor for this publication and all the members of the Publication Committee: Alison Mac Cormac, Róisín de Buitléar and Meadhbh McIlgorm.
In looking back at some of the activities of GSoI members over the last year, Glass Ireland serves as a reminder of the aims of the Society namely community engagement and networking.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this issue of Glass Ireland, which members are now receiving. We hope you enjoy reading it. Thank you to Derek Irwin for posting out the copies to members.
Glass Ireland supports the aims of the GSOI: promoting excellence in Irish glass, increasing visibility, advocating for the community, facilitating communication, increasing public appreciation of our craft and developing the international profile of Irish glass.
The theme of the 2024 edition of Glass Ireland, which covers the period July 2023 to June 2024, is Education.
