ADRIENNE DIAMOND (McStay) BDes., MFA

As Chair, the values closest to her heart are inclusiveness and accessibility, every board member and member has a voice in the Glass Society, and the board will always listen and respond.

Sustainability is a responsibility the Society must embrace, viewing everything it does through that lens.

And finally, the value of skills. Practical skills are being lost across modern life. It is easy to forget the expertise held quite literally in our hands and the joy our work brings to others. These skills deserve to be promoted, celebrated and preserved. .....Adrienne Diamond is a maker, collaborator and environmentalist whose practice draws energy from the landscape around her, realised through glass, wood and metal. With a career spanning over 40 years, she holds a BA in Design from Edinburgh College of Art and an MFA from Duncan of Jordanstone, Dundee. She established and ran A McStay Glass, a hot glass studio in Fife, from 1992 to 2010. She is the founder of The Glass Farm, an innovative, open-access glassmaking workshop on an organic farm in Co. Leitrim, where sustainability, creativity and community come together.
